Indeed, when you first use refresh button and then save the listing Directory Lister Pro scans the selected folders twice. However, the second time it only scans the file system to check if the cached properties are not changed and does not extract properties again if the timestamp is the same. So a second pass (while saving) should be much faster than the first refresh.When we go to save the listing, the software has to completely re-generate the list again to save it. Is this normal or is there a way around this? Some large lists can take a while and it can be more time consuming than desired.
To avoid that you can unselect the “Automatically refresh preview” option on the “Program options” page and manually refresh the view or just save without a preview.
