HTML Links to Files Suggestion

Post by muddytj » Thu Jan 22, 2009 6:15 pm

Thanks for your efforts on Directory Lister, this program has worked great for our application.

One quick suggestion. I currently use Directory Lister to create an HTML list of newly updated files in a server directory that is sync'd out to remote computers. Users access their local synced copies, not the server directory. It would be very helpful if I could customize the "HTML Link to File" feature so that it could include a relative directory path. For instance I would like to be able to create a file link as follows: "%userprofile%\desktop\synced directory". This would allow my remote users to click on the file names and open their local copy.

Your consideration or any ideas for a workaround would be greatly appreciated.

There's a little trick that could possibly make what you want. If you create a css file like this:

Code: Select all

-->
</STYLE>
<BASE href="%userprofile%\desktop">
<STYLE>
<!--
Then include this using "Include external CSS" option and play with the "Path" option you should get what you want.
